However, the trade-off comes in the form of their otherwise simple, no-frills design. What the Anker do supremely well is battery performance: they last over seven hours continuously, but their carrying case supplies an outstanding 12.5 additional charges. At the budget level, earbuds and in-ears tend to have one extra feature to help set themselves apart from their competitors. The best budget earbuds we've tested are the Anker Soundcore Life Dot 2 Truly Wireless. Their fit is also comfortable enough for long listening sessions, and they come with several pairs of differently sized ear tips to help you get the best fit. Luckily, they come with a carrying case with about four additional charges. With their ANC on, their 5.7-hour continuous battery life might not be enough to last through a workday. When set to 'Transport' noise, they do an excellent job of blocking out the rumble of bus and plane engines as well as higher-pitched sounds like conversations. The ANC is also adjustable: it has three settings designed to tackle different kinds of noise. Their thumpy, bass-heavy sound profile can be adjusted to your liking using the companion app's graphic EQ and presets. While these buds don't feel as sturdy as the AirPods Pro Truly Wireless and lack Apple-centric features, they're more customizable.
